Marketing & Social Media Coordinator

Part-Time | Remote | Contractor Position

Do you live and breathe social media trends? Are you a witty writer with an eye for viral content? Do you know how to craft emails that actually get opened? Jenny Lemons, a playful, food-themed accessories brand, is looking for a Marketing & Social Media Coordinator to keep our audience engaged, grow our community, and drive sales with clever, on-brand content.

This role is more than just posting on Instagram—you’ll develop content that works seamlessly across social media and email marketing to create a unified brand voice and experience.

What You’ll Do:

 Social Media Strategy & Content Creation

  • Plan, create, and schedule engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and YouTube using Plann.
  • Write funny, clever, and engaging captions that reflect the playful Jenny Lemons brand voice.
  • Create trending Reels & TikToks and repurpose them across other platforms.
  • Direct the founder to create content, edit their videos, and add trending audio.
  • Coordinate with our creative agency to send shot lists and video ideas for UGC and photography.
  • Ensure all content aligns with monthly launches and marketing goals.
  • Respond to all comments, mentions, and DMs to build community and boost engagement.

 Marketing & Email Newsletters

  • Write and design 1-2 emails per week in Klaviyo that match what’s happening on social media.
  • Ensure a cohesive marketing strategy where emails and social media reinforce each other.
  • Optimize email performance with strong subject lines, CTAs, and segmentation.
  • Maintain a fun, witty, and engaging writing style across all email campaigns.

 Planning & Strategy

  • Plan one month at a time, aligning content with launches, trends, and brand goals.
  • Hold a 1-hour planning session before each month to set content pillars and finalize strategy.
  • Meet with the founder weekly for 30 minutes to track progress and adapt to trends.
  • Ensure all marketing efforts stay on-brand, on-trend, and results-driven.
  • Keep up with our fast-paced, ever-changing launch schedule—we release new products every month!

What You Bring:

  •  Deep knowledge of social media platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  •  Experience using Plann or similar program for social media scheduling.
  •  Email marketing expertise: You can craft emails that convert using Klaviyo.
  •  Strong writing skills—your copy is funny, engaging, and witty (not boring, generic, or overly salesy).
  •  Experience managing social media accounts, growing engagement, and spotting viral trends.
  •  Familiarity with Shopify, Canva, and other marketing tools.
  •  Ability to coordinate with our creative agency to produce content that aligns with our vision.
  •  Comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment with monthly product launches.
  •  A love for playful, food-themed accessories and a knack for making content feel fun and authentic.

Details & Compensation:

  •  Remote, independent contractor (1099) position
  •  10-15 hours per week
  •  $30-$40 per hour, depending on experience
  •  Flexible work schedule, but requires weekly and monthly check-ins
