Virtual Craft Night 6/30: Hand-Built Clay Characters

This FREE online workshop takes place on Thursday, June 30th, from 5-6 PM PST via Zoom Meeting. You will receive login directions before the workshop.
Join sculptor Christopher Gale (KIDTOFER) in a fun introductory clay workshop all about hand-building! With Christopher's guidance, you will create characters out of paper clay from scratch and learn how to turn these fun creatures into useful household items such as incense holders, cake toppers, candle holders, or even air plant pots.

About the instructor:
Narawit Christopher Gale or Kidtofer is a ceramicist and illustrator based in Oakland, California. Originally from Bangkok, Thailand, he moved to the Bay Area eight years ago to pursue a career in art & design. His ceramics are playful and whimsical with a touch of humor. Pop culture references from his childhood and his journey with his queer identity are the main inspirations behind his body of work. Kidtofer's colorful pieces allow him to visualize and create his own little queer world where all these characters are allowed to be happy and fun without fear of judgment by society.

About the series:

Jenny Lemons Craft Nights bring people together to enjoy each other's company and make things with their hands. Each month, we partner with a different artist or creative from our community who presents a project related to their craft.
