Online Workshop 11/22: Wildlife in Watercolor
Dive into the basics of watercolor painting and learn how to approach wildlife as a subject. This workshop will provide a simple watercolor painting method that will enhance your ability with the medium and deepen your creative knowledge.
We will practice blending and shading techniques, color mixing, and study animal anatomy. No prior experience necessary! By the end of the class, you will be able to express yourself creatively with a new technique and have confidence working with animals as subject matter.
Choose from two booking options:
1. Supply your own materials: For this workshop, you will need a set of watercolors, watercolor paper (any size), some water, and watercolor paintbrushes.
2. Purchase a watercolor kit from us that includes:
- 14 Pan Set Angora Watercolors
- 6"x8" Cold Press Watercolor Pad
- #6 Round Watercolor brush
- #4 Round Watercolor Brush
- Plastic Palette
About the instructor:
Danny Neece is an Oakland based illustrator and art educator. He became an artist at a young age and pursued the arts professionally at 18. Danny is also a CCA Alumni and has been working primarily as an art instructor at the Berkeley Art Studio. Besides teaching, Danny focuses much of his creative time as a freelance illustrator and making personal work. His inspiration comes from a variety of places, mostly from long adventures outdoors. This online workshop takes place on Sunday, 11/22, from 2-4 PM PST via Zoom Meeting. You will receive login instructions before the workshop.
East Coast: If ordering a kit 5-6 days before the class, you need to select Priority Shipping to ensure your package arrives in time. The cutoff for delivery is 5 days before the event.
West Coast: If ordering a kit 3 days before the class, you need to select Priority Shipping at checkout to ensure your package arrives on time. Curbside Pickup only 2 or fewer days to class.
