Online Workshop 7/11: Learn the Art of Papier Mache

This online workshop takes place on Sunday, July 11th, 11 AM - 2 PM PST via Zoom Meeting. You will receive login directions before the workshop. 

Join us online and learn to create your own paper mache sculptures with Los Angeles artist Kim Baise. You will learn the fundamentals of papier mache that can be used to create custom ornaments, baby mobiles, wall art, standing sculptures, and much more. The sky is the limit! You'll learn basic techniques and come away with a new appreciation for the art form.

No experience is needed, just a little imagination. Be prepared to get messy. Perfect for adults and kids of all ages.

Choose from two booking options:

1. Supply your own materials! 

You will need tape, cardboard, newspaper, scissors, a pencil, white acrylic paint for the base, other paint colors for decoration, assorted paintbrushes, and mod podge for this class.

We will send out a more detailed supply list a week before class.

2. Purchase a kit from us that includes:

  • A set of 6 acrylic paints
  • 2 paintbrushes
  • 1 sponge brush
  • 2 oz Mod Podge
  • Glue
  • Brown packing paper
  • Twine

About the instructor:

Kim Baise is a Los Angeles - based artist who has been working primarily with papier-mache and repurposed materials for over 11 years of experience. Her unique mobile constructions and figurative assemblages embody her mark making's fresh energy with bright colors and bold shapes.
