Online Workshop 10/16: Cute and Spooky Gouache!

This online workshop takes place on Sunday, October 16th from 11am to 1pm PT via Zoom Meeting. You will receive login directions before the workshop. 

Explore the fun versatility of gouache by painting a cute collection of spooky characters with San Francisco-based illustrator, Vica Lew!

In this class, Vica helps you gain a better understanding of the properties of gouache paint as she walks you through different techniques that you can apply in creating your cute and spooky illustrations. This class is perfect for both beginner and intermediate learners who want a better grasp of the medium, or who simply have a love for all things Halloween! Topics covered will include learning how to mix colors, getting different effects and textures through layering paint, and adding details with colored pencil.

By the end of the class, you’ll learn how to paint all sorts of characters that are perfect for the spooky season like ghosts, bats, skeletons, and pumpkins. This workshop will arm you with the basics and the confidence to keep painting more projects with gouache!

Vica Lew is a full-time illustrator and maker based in San Francisco, California. She specializes in creating cute, colorful illustrations for kids and kids at heart.
