Holly Coley is an interdisciplinary artist working in clay and illustration. Her work is inspired by ghosts, animals, and ancient art. As a sullen goth teenager, she worked at Sanrio, which left a deep impression on her about the power of cute and Japanese culture.
She teaches art to people of all ages in SF public schools and art spaces. In the past, she has helped put art back into public schools through art education nonprofits such as The San Francisco Art Education Project, Root Division, and Street Side Stories.
She manages a small clay studio in Bernal Heights called Pinckney Clay, where she teaches hand-building and lead workshops.
