Chunks

Chunks

Chunks began in early 2019 with just a handful of playful accessories, incorporating bold shapes and colorful tomes that are easy to style and hard to miss. It's a color happy, ethos driven brand, designed in Seattle by artist and designer Tiffany Ju. Her work rose to viral internet acclaim after posting pairs of ombre tights on her first Etsy store in 2012. All of her products are proudly made in China. She believes the notion that China only makes cheap low-quality goods is an outdated stereotype and totally false. There’s a lot to admire about Chinese manufacturing. They are eager to innovate and adapt. Because of that, she thinks it’s vital that designers and artists with eco-conscious values work with big manufacturing to see how we can impact the design to the production process. Her first line received international press recognition from BUST magazine, Refinery 29, Design Sponge, Glamour Magazine, Anthology Magazine, Brit + Co, and many others as Tiffany’s tights flooded Pinterest and Tumblr feeds worldwide. By the end of 2018, her hand-dyed tights had been purchased over 15,000 times. Tiffany holds a BFA in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design. She is also a textile artist who primarily focuses on upcycling materials in her work.
